Job summary

Asset Living is seeking a Community Manager to oversee all operations of an affordable housing community under the supervision of the Regional Manager. You will supervise staff, manage leasing, maintenance, admin, and risk management to ensure compliance with policy and safety guidelines.

Essential duties include personnel management, budgeting, marketing planning, and resident relations, with emphasis on compliance with fair housing laws and OSHA requirements. A CAM/ARM designation is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required or preferred depending on experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in housing industry or four years of related experience is preferred.
• Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Personnel Management and regular/daily onsite attendance are required.
• Screen, hire, train, coach, and develop on-site staff; ensure staff training and compliance with company policies.
• Develop and manage operating budgets/forecasts; monitor rent collections and vendor invoices.
• Plan marketing, leasing, and resident retention programs; show, lease, and move-in prospective residents.
• Oversee emergency plan and on-site safety to minimize liability; ensure property appearance and timely repairs.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Bachelor’s degree preferred or four years housing industry experience

CAM or ARM certification preferred
