Job summary

Asset Living is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to oversee daily operations and financial functions of affordable housing communities on-site. You will supervise staff, manage leasing activities, and ensure compliance with fair housing and safety guidelines while supporting the Community Manager.

Responsibilities include managing cash flow, rent collections, budget adherence, resident relations, and preserving property condition.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent;Bachelor’s degree preferred or 2 years housing experience.
• Ability to understand and perform onsite software functions; basic computer skills.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Post payments and income from applicants and residents.
• Reconcile daily accounts receivable.
• Follow up on bad debt, issue late notices, and file evictions.
• Help meet budgeted revenues, expenses, and NOI.
• Post charges to resident accounts and bill back utilities where applicable.
• Perform month-end closing procedures and reporting.
• Maintain organized records and audit resident files.
• Inspect units and process move-out charges and security deposits.
• Lead onsite staff, including training and coaching.
• Plan leasing strategies and marketing plans.
• Address resident complaints and implement retention programs.
• Show and lease units, and facilitate move-ins.
