Job summary

Asset Living is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to oversee daily operations and financial functions of an affordable housing community under the Community Manager. You will drive rent collection, delinquency control, and cash flow optimization while managing staff, leasing, maintenance, and risk in a compliant manner.

The role requires on-site leadership with at least 1 year of affordable housing experience; a HS diploma or equivalent is required and a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience with affordable housing programs (LIHTC, HUD, etc.).
• Affordable Housing Accreditation (HCCP, HCP-E, COS, BOS, TCS, CPO) or other applicable designations preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Post payments and income accurately and timely for all residents and applicants.
• Process and reconcile daily accounts receivable and monitor bad debt and evictions.
• Support budgeting to meet revenues, expenses, and NOI targets; post charges and utility bill backs as applicable.
• Maintain organized records; perform end-of-month close and accurate reporting.
• Supervise onsite staff; train, coach, and develop team; ensure policy compliance and safety standards.

Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Bachelor’s degree preferred or two years experience in housing industry
