Job summary

Motion Industries is seeking an Account Representative I to grow and manage a book of business by converting competitors' work and expanding mid-size accounts into large accounts. The role emphasizes customer satisfaction through ongoing contact and expectation management.

The position requires effective communication, industry product knowledge, and the ability to coordinate with vendors to fulfill customer requirements. Travel is required as part of on-site account management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree typically required with 0–2 years of experience or equivalent.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of power transmission, hydraulic, pneumatic and industrial products.
• Ability to influence customers and maintain relationships.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Increases revenue and profitability through new business and development of existing accounts.
• Generates new leads by networking, cold calling and researching directories.
• Interacts face-to-face with customers to foster relationships and satisfaction.
• Understands customer requirements for customized quoting.
• Delivers sales presentations and ensures technical requirements are met.
• Assists with on-site troubleshooting of customer concerns.
• Coordinates vendor resources to support sales and build relationships.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
