All About On Demand

You can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand TM, with a flexible schedule that varies based on store needs and shift availability. This role is ideal for those seeking a personalized work schedule.

As an On-Demand TM, you will not be scheduled in advance but can create your schedule by picking up shifts via our myTime mobile app. Active engagement—picking up shifts, working them, and responding to contact attempts—is required. Regular attendance and working at least one shift every 4 months (or 5 months starting December 2024) are necessary to maintain employment.

Participation includes attending a Target Welcome orientation and completing a short-term training schedule. Afterward, shifts are picked up through the myTime app.

Service & Engagement

Guest Advocates focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences, promoting store services, and ensuring quick, easy shopping. Key skills include communication, problem-solving, adaptability, and product knowledge.

Typical Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent guest service, greet guests authentically, and observe guest needs to offer assistance.
• Use store tools and knowledge to resolve issues and enhance the guest experience.
• Efficiently scan, bag, and support checkout processes while maintaining safety standards.
• Promote Target loyalty programs, digital features, and store services.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment and support safety policies.
• Assist with order pickup, drive-up services, and other guest needs.
• Support cash handling and other duties as needed.
