Job summary

Opaa! Food Management, Inc. seeks kitchen staff to support serving lines, food prep, and daily operations across school cafeterias. Responsibilities include maintaining proper food temperatures, following recipes, and assisting with inventory and dishwashing.

Candidate will work with a team, operate kitchen equipment, and uphold safety standards. Previous food service and cash handling experience are helpful but not required for all positions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; or up to one month related experience, training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Follow HACCP processes and procedures with daily, weekly, and monthly food safety logs.
• Obey safety rules and report unsafe conditions; participate in safety program.

Responsibilities

• Assist with set-up of serving lines and ensure food is held at proper temperatures.
• Prepare foods according to menu plan and Opaa! recipes; plan ahead for next day menus.
• Operate slicers, mixers, grinders, and other equipment with proper certification.
• Keep work areas neat, clean, and organized; maintain FIFO inventory.
• Handle customer monies, run a cash register; ensure only reimbursable meals pass through POS.
