Job summary

Opaa! Food Management, Inc. is seeking kitchen staff on an as-needed basis to support serving lines and food preparation. Responsibilities include following recipes, maintaining temperature controls, and ensuring a clean, organized kitchen environment.

Candidate will operate standard kitchen equipment, stock coolers, assist with bread/ bake goods, and adhere to safety and HACCP guidelines. This role supports meals in priority on-site cafeterias with varied shift coverage.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple notes.
• Mathematical Skills: Basic arithmetic for recipes, measurements, and portions.
• Reasoning Ability: Apply simple instructions and handle standard tasks.
• Machines/Tools: Dishwashers, steamers, mixers, ovens, slicers, thermometers, and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with set-up of serving lines daily and ensure food is held at correct temperatures.
• Prepare foods per menu and recipes; plan ahead for next day menus.
• Operate slicers, mixers, grinders, and other equipment with proper certification.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and kitchen/cafeteria spaces.
• Follow FIFO inventory procedures and keep cooler/storage racks clean.
