Job summary

Opaa! Food Management, Inc. is seeking a kitchen staff member to support meal service on an as-needed basis across sites.

You will assist with food preparation, line setup, and ensuring all items are held at required temperatures. Responsibilities include operating basic equipment, maintaining clean work areas, following recipes, and adhering to HACCP and safety procedures. Prior experience is helpful but dependability and a willingness to learn are valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; or up to one month related experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos; write simple correspondence.
• Basic math skills and ability to compute rates, portions, and temperatures.
• Ability to follow recipes and HACCP procedures in a fast-paced kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Assist with set-up of serving lines and maintain proper food temperatures.
• Prepare foods per menu plan; plan ahead for next day menus.
• Operate slicers, mixers, grinders, and other equipment with proper certification.
• Keep work areas neat, clean, and organized; practice FIFO.
• Clean kitchen, dining areas, and equipment; restock supplies as needed.
• Maintain accurate daily production records and support safety checks.
