Job summary

Opaa! Food Management, Inc. is seeking kitchen staff to support daily operations in a school dining setting. Responsibilities include setting up serving lines, preparing foods per menu and recipes, and ensuring items are held at correct temperatures.

Train and assist with cleaning, inventory control, and basic cash handling as needed. This role operates on an as-needed basis across shifts in the Midwest. Health/safety practices apply.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, preferred; or any related experience or training.
• Ability to read and follow simple instructions and a menu plan.
• Experience in food service or kitchen operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with set-up of serving lines and ensure food is held at required temperatures.
• Prepare foods per menu and Opaa! recipes; batch cook and present to customers.
• Operate slicers, mixers, grinders and other equipment with proper certification.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and inventory using FIFO.
• Assist with kitchen/ cafeteria cleaning and dishwashing tasks.
• Handle cash register operations and meal reimbursements as needed.
