Job summary

Opaa! Food Management, Inc. is seeking dependable kitchen staff for school meal operations. You will assist with serving line setup, food preparation per menus, and maintaining proper food temperatures to ensure safe, appealing meals.

Responsibilities include using equipment like slicers and mixers, stocking supplies, maintaining clean work areas, and following HACCP and safety procedures while delivering friendly service to students and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
• Food service experience is helpful but not required.
• Ability to stand for long periods and to lift up to 25 pounds as part of daily duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with set-up of serving lines daily and ensure that all food is held at the required temperature.
• Assist in the preparation of foods according to the menu plan and Opaa! recipes; plan and prep ahead for the next day menus.
• Operate slicers, mixers, grinders, and other equipment with proper certification.
• Keep work areas neat, clean, and organized; maintain FIFO inventory and clean cooler/storage areas.
• Clean, monitor chemical usage, and maintain equipment in the dishwashing area; assist with stock replenishment.
• Prepare baked goods as required by the menu and present to customers in an appealing manner.
