Job summary

Opaa! Food Management, Inc. is seeking dependable kitchen staff to support serving lines, food prep, and dishwashing on an as-needed basis across multiple sites in Iowa.

You will help maintain temperatures, follow recipes, and present food attractively while upholding safety and sanitation standards. Responsibilities include batch cooking, stocking, operating basic equipment, recording daily production, and assisting the Kitchen Manager with inventory.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; or up to one month related experience, training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and follow simple instructions and recipes.
• Basic math for portioning and measurements.

Responsibilities

• Assist with set-up of serving lines and ensure food is held at proper temperatures.
• Prepare foods per menu plan and Opaa! recipes; batch cook as needed.
• Operate kitchen equipment with proper certification; maintain cleanliness and organization.
• Maintain FIFO inventory and restock as directed by Kitchen Manager.
• Follow HACCP procedures and document temperatures and daily production.
• Handle customer transactions and maintain accurate meal counts where required.
