Job summary

Opaa! Food Management, Inc. is seeking on-call kitchen staff to support meal service across our facilities. The role involves setting up serving lines, preparing foods per menu and recipes, and maintaining clean, organized work areas.

Staff must operate equipment safely and follow HACCP and daily production logs. We offer varied pay rates by state and position. Excellent hospitality and teamwork are essential as you assist in meal service, food presentation, and daily dish duties to support

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; or related experience.
• Ability to read and follow menus and recipes.
• Strong math and counting skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up serving lines daily and maintain proper food temperatures.
• Prepare foods per menu and Opaa! recipes; plan ahead for next day menus.
• Operate kitchen equipment with proper certification.
• Keep work areas neat, clean and organized.
• Clean kitchen and cafeteria areas including equipment and dishes.
• Maintain FIFO stock and clean storage areas; keep cooler/storage racks clean.
• Clean, monitor chemical usage, and maintain equipment in dishwashing area.
• Requisition appropriate amounts of food and supplies through the Kitchen Manager.
• Prepare bread, cakes, cookies, and other baked goods as required by the menu plan.
• Batch cooking to maintain quality product and presentation.
• Set up serving/bar lines and ensure proper food temperatures; restock as needed.
• Serve items with proper portions; ensure quality presentation and hospitality.
• Maintain serving lines/condiments with food items, napkins, silverware, and dishes.
