Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced technician to service and repair fire alarm and related building systems at customer sites. You will read blueprints, diagnose issues, and follow manuals to resolve problems while delivering strong customer service.

Candidates should have 3+ years in fire alarm and related systems, with strong computer skills and the ability to work on-call and travel as needed. NICET II is preferred; on-site work with full benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience with fire alarm, access control, security intrusion, sound and communications systems.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, diagrams and specifications.
• Good working knowledge of computers and basic IT tasks.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose problems and perform service and repairs on fire alarm and related building systems.
• Read blueprints and manuals to guide troubleshooting and repairs.
• Provide high level customer service and communicate with customers during service calls.
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain truck inventory to ensure rapid response.
• Operate in on-call rotation and participate in training of teammates.
