Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a skilled Fire/Life Safety technician to service and install systems at customer sites. You will read blueprints, diagnose issues, repair panels, and ensure safety compliance while delivering excellent customer service to clients in diverse industries.

The role requires 5+ years of low voltage experience, NICET II preferred, and the ability to lift up to 70 lbs. Travel may be required, and a competitive benefits package is offered by Johnson Controls.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in low voltage electrical systems including Fire/Life Safety, Access Control, Nurse Call and Paging systems.
• NICET II certification preferred.
• Experience reading blueprints, submittals, and manuals.
• Knowledge of test equipment, multi-meter, digital analyzer, and commissioning devices.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to perform physical labor and lift 50-70 lbs.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and travel overnight.

Responsabilités

• Receive service calls and diagnose equipment/system issues.
• Contact customer representatives to ascertain problems.
• Diagnose and repair electronic fire alarm systems and related building systems at customer sites.
• Follow troubleshooting procedures and refer to manuals to repair equipment.
• Exhibit strong customer service and communicate with district staff and customers.
• Position involves programming of fire alarm, security, and access control system panels.
• On-call rotations and training/mentoring of team members.
• Provide solutions to improve facility efficiency and upsell where appropriate.
