Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking an experienced Fire/Life Safety technician to install, service and repair building systems at customer sites. You will read blueprints, diagnose issues, and perform repairs on low voltage electronics with emphasis on safety and quality.

This role requires physical work, on-call rotation, and occasional travel, with a competitive benefits package; NICET II preferred and 2+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in low voltage electrical systems incl. Fire/Life Safety.
• NICET Level II certification – strongly preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, submittals and manuals.
• Knowledge of test equipment, multimeter, digital analyzer, commissioning devices.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Receive service calls and determine equipment issues.
• Diagnose problems and perform service/repairs on fire/life safety systems.
• Read blueprints and manuals to guide troubleshooting and repair.
• Provide excellent customer service and document work performed.
• Participate in on-call rotation and train teammates as needed.
