Amentum seeks a Biometric Technician to support USCIS ASC operations in Tampa, FL. This on-call role covers shifts Monday–Friday, 7:45am–4:15pm, providing biometric registrations, screening, and customer service in a high-volume government setting.

The position emphasizes privacy, safety, and accuracy in biometrics processing, with mandatory credentialing and English proficiency, and offers a benefits package and on-call income flexibility.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization (US Citizenship required for credentials).
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to speak and write in English.
• Ability to stand upright for shift duration.
• Ability to hold and grasp applicant fingerprints.
• Ability to work in a high paced environment with the public.
• Ability to type and use basic computer skills.
• Successful completion of biometrics training and certification within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Complete biometrics registration for applicants seeking legal immigration to the United States.
• Ensure all entrants are approved applicants and visitors while assisting staff with crowd control and enforcing ASC policies.
• Provide front-line customer service as representatives of Amentum and the U.S. Government.
• Perform quality biometrics processing including fingerprints, photographs, and signatures within processing times.
• Screen applicants to verify valid appointment notices and identifications.
• Utilize crowd control barriers to ensure safe entry into the facility.
• Visually inspect applicants and belongings prior to entry; may ask illness-related questions during health crises.
• Maintain and document administrative paperwork such as processing times and visitor logs.
