Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Biometric Technician to support USCIS ASC operations in Norridge, IL. This on-call, casual role provides biometrics processing, fingerprint capture, and customer service to applicants under the SCA framework.

As part of a responsive team, you will verify appointments, manage entry controls, and maintain biometric logs while ensuring privacy and safety guidelines. Availability Monday–Friday 7:45am–4:15pm as needed, with no guaranteed hours.

Qualifications

• Must obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. US citizenship is required for this work location.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to speak and write in English.
• Ability to stand upright on one’s feet for scheduled shift duration.
• Ability to hold and grasp applicant’s hands to obtain quality fingerprints.
• Ability to work in a high paced environment with the public.
• Ability to type and use basic computer skills.
• Successful completion of the biometrics training and become certified within sixty days.

Responsibilities

• Complete biometrics registration for applicants seeking legal immigration to the United States.
• Screen applicants entering the facility to ensure they have a valid appointment notice and identification.
• Utilize crowd control barriers to ensure a safe and organized entry into the facility.
• Provide front-line customer service as representatives of Amentum and the U.S. Government.
• Maintain visitor control logs and administrative paperwork as needed.
