Job summary

Amentum in Helena, MT is seeking a Biometric Technician (on-call) to support USCIS ASC operations. This casual on-call role requires availability five days, 7:45am–4:15pm, with no guaranteed hours, and involves front-line biometrics processing and customer service for visa applicants.

You will capture fingerprints, photos, and signatures, screen entrants, maintain logs, and coordinate with site leaders. A High School Diploma, English proficiency, and ability to work in a high-volume environment

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. US citizenship required.
• A High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to speak and write in English.
• Ability to stand upright for scheduled shift duration.
• Ability to hold and grasp applicant’s hands for fingerprints.
• Ability to work in a high paced environment with the public.
• Ability to type and use basic computer skills.
• Successful completion of the biometrics training within sixty days.
• Desired: ability to speak a foreign language.

Responsibilities

• Complete biometrics registration for applicants seeking legal immigration.
• Ensure all entrants are approved and provide crowd control.
• Provide front-line customer service as representatives of Amentum and the US Government.
• Perform quality biometrics processing (fingerprints, photos, signatures) within processing times.
• Screen applicants for valid appointment notices and IDs.
• Use barriers to manage entry into the facility.
• Conduct facility checks and report concerns to Site Supervisor.
• Assist in calling local law enforcement when necessary.
• Maintain administrative paperwork and visitor logs.
