Amentum is seeking a Biometric Technician to support the USCIS Application Support Center in Austin, TX. This on-call position requires availability five days a week with no guaranteed schedule, serving as a frontline agent for biometric processing and visitor screening.

The role emphasizes high-quality customer service, privacy of PII, and collaboration with site staff. US citizenship is required for facility credentials; English proficiency and basic computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; US citizenship required for facility credentials.
• Must speak and write in English.
• Ability to stand for shift duration and to obtain quality fingerprints.
• Successful completion of biometrics training within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Complete biometrics registration for applicants seeking legal immigration to the United States.
• Provide front-line customer service as representatives of Amentum and the U.S. Government.
• Screen applicants entering the facility to ensure a valid appointment notice and ID.
• Utilize crowd control barriers to ensure a safe and organized entry into the facility.
• Manage and complete with accuracy administrative paperwork such as processing times and visitor logs.
• Assist the Site Supervisor and/or government officer in calling local law enforcement when necessary.
