Job summary

Maersk Project Logistics is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead complex Oil & Gas project opportunities. You will work with commercial teams, solution design experts, and customers to shape strategies, support bids, and develop tailored logistics solutions.

The role offers exposure to strategic RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs, travel, and the opportunity to influence major engagements with energy and engineering clients worldwide.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience within Project Logistics, Freight Forwarding, Oil & Gas Logistics, EPC project support, or related industries.
• Deep knowledge of Oil & Gas supply chains, project cargo operations, and specialized logistics solutions.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience supporting solution-based sales, customer growth initiatives, and strategic account development.
• Excellent stakeholder communication across operational teams to executive contacts.
• Ability to present complex logistics solutions clearly and professionally.
• Strong financial, pricing, and contract review capabilities to support profitable growth.
• Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
• Understanding of industry trends, customer requirements, and market dynamics in energy/industrial sectors.

Responsibilities

• Develop and qualify project logistics opportunities generated by commercial teams.
• Lead or support RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes with comprehensive, competitive proposals.
• Collaborate with solution design teams to develop pricing strategies and sound logistics solutions.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for Maersk Project Logistics to support customers and internal stakeholders.
• Review customer contracts to ensure compliance with product standards and capabilities.
• Support new business pursuits through customer presentations and technical discussions.
• Promote Project Logistics capabilities across internal teams and external customers.
• Provide market intelligence to support product development and improvements.
