Job summary

Graybar is seeking a Service Representative Off-Site in Richmond, VA. You will support customer needs by selling goods, handling orders, and coordinating service requests while ensuring accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory management.

The role requires warehouse experience, ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks, and the flexibility to perform driver duties when needed. A 4-year degree is preferred and safety PPE is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 year experience required; 4+ years experience preferred.
• 4 year degree preferred.
• Physical requirements to receive, pick, pack, ship, and move materials in a warehouse.
• Operate warehouse equipment per safety instructions (pallet jacks, forklifts).
• Work in a warehouse environment with variable conditions and PPE.
• DOT medical exam may be required; steel-toed boots required.

Responsibilities

• Sell company goods and services; suggest selections to meet customer needs.
• Coordinate prompt handling of service requests (order entry, pricing, expediting, billing, order maintenance).
• Perform shipping, receiving, and inventory maintenance; monitor inventory levels.
• May perform delivery driver duties; operate a light van when needed to deliver orders.
• Update knowledge through training and product classes; train new or less experienced reps.
• Assist in developing the orientation program for new employees.
