Job summary

Turner Construction Company in Chicago, IL seeks a Senior Design & Engineering Lead to manage D&E execution for xPL Offsite Manufacturing projects, coordinating architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical teams to deliver fabrication-ready designs and installation support.

You will develop schedules and budgets, ensure design aligns with lean and OSC best practices, review drawings and BOMs, manage risks and changes, and drive collaboration across internal and external

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field with 8+ years PM experience.
• Professional licensure or certification preferred (PE, RA, PMP, LEED).
• Experience managing multi-disciplinary design teams and complex projects on time/budget.
• Strong BIM, Revit, AutoCAD proficiency; ERP/MRP knowledge a plus.
• Experience in offsite manufacturing/modular construction is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead D&E project execution across multiple disciplines and stakeholders.
• Develop and manage design schedules, budgets, and resources.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants to ensure constructibility.
• Oversee BIM models, drawings, specs, and documentation for compliance.
• Manage risks, changes, and issues; report KPIs to leadership.
• Travel 40-50% as needed.
