Job summary

Turner Construction Company seeks a senior Design & Engineering Leader for xPL Offsite manufacturing projects. You will coordinate architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and fabrication teams to deliver scalable, constructible design packages and installation-ready documents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred, with minimum 8 years of progressive experience in design project management within construction, prefabrication, modular/offsite manufacturing, design-build, or AEC industry; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Professional licensure or certification such as PE, RA, PMP, LEED preferred or equivalent credential
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary design teams and delivering complex projects on time and within budget

Responsibilities

• Lead Design & Engineering (D&E) project execution across architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, prefabrication, manufacturing, and installation stakeholders
• Develop and manage design schedules, budgets, and resource plans to achieve on-time and on-budget delivery
• Coordinate with internal teams, external consultants, and stakeholders to integrate design intent with manufacturability and lean offsite construction practices
• Oversee production of drawings, BIM models, specifications, and documentation ensuring codes and standards compliance
• Facilitate design reviews, value engineering, and constructability assessments to optimize prefabrication opportunities
• Maintain D&E deliverables tracker including models, submittal packages, BOMs, and release milestones
• Travel periodically to facilities/sites to support execution
• Review and contribute to proposals, estimates, and contract documents related to design scope
• Maintain thorough project documentation and safety/quality standards
