Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced Design & Engineering Lead for xPL Offsite manufacturing initiatives, coordinating architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical stakeholders. You will manage schedules, budgets, and deliverables from intake to fabrication and installation support.

You will drive design reviews, value engineering, and constructability assessments to optimize prefabrication opportunities while ensuring compliance with codes and project requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in design project management within construction or offsite manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead D&E project execution across architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, prefabrication, manufacturing, and installation stakeholders.
• Develop and manage design schedules, budgets, and resource plans for on-time completion.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants to integrate design intent with manufacturability and lean OSC practices.
• Oversee production of BIM models, drawings, specs, and documentation to meet codes and standards.
• Facilitate design reviews and value engineering to optimize prefabrication opportunities.
• Maintain D&E deliverables tracker including BOMs, shop drawings, and issue tracking.
• Manage design risks, changes, and KPI reporting to leadership.
• Support adoption of digital tools to enhance design efficiency and collaboration.
