Job summary
Turner Construction Company is seeking a seasoned Structural Engineer to design and oversee offsite manufactured components for xPL Offsite, ensuring structural integrity and code compliance.
The role requires FEM analysis, collaboration with architects and engineers, and detailed drawings using SAP2000, STAAD, Inventor and Revit, with travel limited.
A PE license and ABET-accredited degree are required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure and active status.
- Strong written and verbal communication; able to present to non-technical audiences.
- Experience with structural analysis and design per codes (ASCE, AISC, IBC).
Responsibilities
- Design structural systems for offsite manufacturing components, including steel framing, foundations, and connections.
- Perform complete structural analysis using FEM to validate designs under varying loads.
- Coordinate with architects, mechanical and electrical engineers, and other disciplines.
- Produce engineering drawings and simulations using SAP2000, STAAD, Inventor, Revit.
- Oversee production of vendor drawings and ensure coordination with project documents.
- Visit shop floor and sites to verify constructability and installation alignment.
