Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an Experienced Structural Engineer for xPL Offsite to design and oversee OSSM structural components. You will perform FEM analyses, create detailed drawings, and coordinate with architects and other engineers to ensure safe, cost-effective offsite construction solutions.

The role emphasizes collaboration across disciplines, adherence to codes, and guiding production and installation from factory to site.

Qualifications

ABET-accredited Civil or Structural Engineering degree required.
PE licensure active.
Minimum 6 years of experience in structural analysis and design or equivalent.
Experience in offsite manufacturing or modular construction is a plus.
Proficiency with structural analysis and design tools (SAP2000, STAAD, Revit, Inventor).

Responsibilities

Develop structural designs for offsite manufacturing products and systems (OSM).
Perform complete structural analysis, including FEM, to validate design integrity under varying loads.
Collaborate with Architects, Mechanical, Electrical, and Structural engineers to integrate OSM components.
Create detailed engineering drawings and simulations using SAP2000, STAAD, Inventor, and Revit.
Review engineering drawings and ensure coordination with vendor drawings to engineering requirements.
Oversee designs to optimize production, assembly, transportation, and site installation.
Stay current on innovations in structural engineering and OSM construction techniques.
