Job summary

Cornerstone Caregiving in Tallahassee, FL, is seeking an Assistant Operating Director (AOD), a key leadership position and second-in-command to the Operating Director. The role leads in-office operations, scheduling oversight, staff development, and ensures high-quality client care and communication with Home Base.

We offer a starting salary around $50,000 with benefits and bonus opportunities. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in management or healthcare leadership, a Bachelor's degree

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• 2+ years of experience in management, leadership operations, or human resources.
• Experience hiring, recruiting, training, scheduling, and supervising staff.
• Leadership experience within the healthcare or home care industry.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead in-office operations, scheduling oversight, staff support and development.
• Oversee client care quality and communication with Home Base.
• Conduct weekly 1:1 check-ins, performance reviews, coaching and disciplinary action.
• Assist with recruiting, onboarding steps, and staff oversight to support office growth.
• Oversee administrative workflow and documentation in line with Cornerstone policies and state requirements.
• Manage state-required supervisory visits as applicable.
• Serve as backup for client assessments when needed.
