Job summary

SunSource is seeking an experienced OEM Account Manager to grow key relationships across Southwestern VA and Eastern NC. The role focuses on mobile hydraulics, fluid power, and engineered solutions for OEM customers.

You will solve technical challenges, build long-term partnerships, and drive territory growth. Ideal candidates have 2+ years of outside sales experience in related fields, strong communication and presentation skills, and a willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of outside sales experience in mobile hydraulics or related industrial fluids.
• Knowledge of mobile hydraulic systems and components is preferred.
• Experience with technical sales, product applications, troubleshooting, or engineered solutions.
• Ability to build customer relationships and grow sales.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with CRM systems and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Grow and manage key OEM accounts and develop new opportunities in the territory.
• Build relationships with OEM engineering, purchasing, operations, and leadership teams.
• Apply mobile hydraulic expertise to identify customer needs and propose engineered solutions.
• Prospect for new business via visits, networking, referrals, cold calling, and technical presentations.
• Coordinate with engineering, service, and technical teams to develop customer solutions.
• Manage territory activity, opportunities, and forecasts using CRM and other tools.
• Stay current on mobile hydraulic technologies, applications, and market trends.
