Job summary

SunSource is seeking an experienced OEM Account Manager to manage and grow key OEM relationships across Southeast Michigan from our Detroit territory. The role focuses on mobile hydraulics, fluid power, and OEM sales, with a consultative approach to engineering solutions and customer partnerships.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in outside sales, strong technical knowledge, and proven ability to grow accounts. Travel within the territory and CRM proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of outside sales experience selling mobile hydraulics or engineered solutions.
• Knowledge of mobile hydraulic systems and components.
• Experience in technical sales, product application support or troubleshooting.
• Ability to build relationships and grow sales.
• Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
• Willingness to travel territory, including overnight.
• Fluid Power Certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Grow and manage OEM accounts and develop new opportunities in the territory.
• Build relationships with OEM engineering, purchasing, operations and leadership.
• Apply mobile hydraulic and fluid power expertise to identify needs and propose solutions.
• Prospect for new business via visits, networking, referrals, cold calling, and technical presentations.
• Partner with engineering and service teams to develop customer solutions.
• Manage territory activity, opportunities and forecasts using CRM and sales tools.
• Stay current on mobile hydraulic technologies and market trends.
