Job summary

Concentra is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to support patient care, testing, and registration activities in a fast-paced environment. The MSS will work under direct supervision to ensure accurate procedures and a positive patient experience.

Responsibilities include preparing patients, performing screening tests, assisting clinicians, handling front office tasks, and maintaining documentation in compliance with HIPAA. Training and credentialing may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with externship preferred, OR at least one year of direct patient care as MA, OR military medical specialist experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
• Prepare patients for examinations including vital signs and ancillary testing.
• Perform rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, glucose, etc.).
• Assist providers during examination and treatment.
• Triage emergencies and perform routine medical procedures as ordered.
