Concentra, Inc in Saint Charles, MO is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our patient care team. The MSS performs routine medical and testing procedures under supervision and supports registration and referral management to ensure quality care and a great patient experience.

The role emphasizes clinical competency, compassion, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining HIPAA compliance and accurate documentation across front and back office tasks.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with externship highly preferred, OR at least one year of direct patient care experience as a medical assistant.
• Military medical specialist experience considered if credentials meet state requirements and applicable regulations.
• At least six months of medical assistant experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
• Take vital signs and prepare patients for examinations, including vaccines, injections, phlebotomy, PFTs, audiograms, and respirator fit testing.
• Conduct rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, mono, glucose, etc.).
• Assist providers during examination and treatment.
• Triaging emergent patients and performing routine medical procedures as ordered.
