Job summary

Concentra is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to perform routine medical testing and support in a fast-paced clinic setting. Under direct supervision you will assist the treating clinician, prepare patients, take vital signs, perform rapid screening tests, and handle front/back office duties to ensure a smooth patient flow.

The ideal candidate has a vocational/technical training in medical assisting or at least six months of patient care experience, knowledge of medical terminology, and

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with externship preferred.
• At least six months or more of medical assistant experience.
• Knowledge of medical procedures and medical terminology.
• Working knowledge of occupational medicine requirements (state specific) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
• Prepare patients for physical examinations including vital signs and ancillary testing.
• Perform rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, glucose, etc.).
• Assist providers during examination and treatment.
• Handle front and back-office duties and ensure accurate documentation and patient flow.
