Job summary

Concentra is hiring a Medical Support Specialist to perform routine medical procedures under clinician supervision and support front/back office operations. The role emphasizes efficient patient care, accurate documentation, and excellent patient experiences in a fast-paced setting.

Ideal candidates have a Medical Assistant background with externship or hands-on patient care, and knowledge of occupational medicine requirements. Training and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with externship preferred, OR at least one year of direct patient care experience as a medical assistant, OR military medical specialist experience (must meet state credentials).

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT and non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
• Prepare patients for physical examinations, including vital signs and ancillary testing.
• Perform rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, mono, glucose).
• Assist providers during examination and treatment.
• Complete clerical tasks and maintain proper records.
• Greet patients, check in/out, handle phones and authorizations.
• Follow HIPAA guidelines and maintain a clean, organized center.
