Job summary

HDR Engineering is seeking a Transmission Line Project Engineer to join our Power Delivery team. You will design high voltage transmission lines using PLScadd and foundation software, coordinating with stakeholders and mentoring junior staff.

You will contribute to cost estimates, schedules, and client design reviews, with opportunities in multiple WA locations including Gig Harbor. PE license and 4+ years' experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• PE license preferred/required as stated.
• 4+ years in transmission line engineering in electric utility or renewables.
• Experience with PLS-CADD and transmission structure analysis.
• Strong communication with diverse project stakeholders.
• Proficient with standard PM and design software.
• Experience with 69kV–500kV voltages; 765kV a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical deliverables for conceptual and detailed transmission line design.
• Coordinate construction release packages: plan, profiles, and materials.
• Lead tasks, mentor junior staff, and ensure quality reviews.
• Develop project manhours estimates and task schedules.
• Attend client meetings and lead design reviews.
