Job summary

HDR Engineering is seeking a Transmission Line Project Engineer to join our Power Delivery team. The role focuses on developing transmission line concepts and detailed designs, coordinating release packages and reviews with clients, and guiding junior staff across multiple projects.

Preferred candidates bring 4+ years in transmission line engineering, PE license, and experience with 69kV–500kV systems. Locations include WA, ID, MT, OR and more; full-time, on-site opportunities exist in

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil, Mechanical or related field).
• Experience interpreting and applying industry design codes (NESC, IEEE, ASCE, ACI).
• 4+ years of transmission line engineering experience in electric utility or renewables.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical aspects and deliverables for transmission line design using PLS-CADD and related software.
• Coordinate construction release packages for high voltage lines.
• Lead design reviews with clients and manage project schedules and manhours.
