Job summary

HDR Engineering is seeking a Transmission Line Project Engineer to join our growing Power Delivery team with locations including Everett, WA. You will lead high-voltage transmission line design projects, collaborating across environmental, real estate, construction, and project management stakeholders to deliver reliable networks.

You will use PLS-CADD and related software to develop concepts, plans, and drawings, perform analyses, and contribute to cost estimates and schedules while mentoring

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• PE license required.
• Experience in the Power Market Sector.
• Experience with PLS-CADD, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, AutoPipe, and Revit.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Active participant in an employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical design deliverables for transmission lines using PLS-CADD and foundation design software.
• Coordinate construction release packages (plans/profiles, load trees, assemblies, stringing charts, schedules, and BOMs).
• Mentor junior team members and conduct QC reviews.
• Identify learning opportunities for EITs/Designers (shadowing, tasks, show-and-tell).
• Perform QC reviews of projects from other teams as needed.
• Provide engineering input on design issues and conduct analyses.
• Assist with cost estimates or specifications.
• Attend client stakeholder meetings and lead design reviews.
• Assist with manhour estimates and schedules.
• Manage multiple tasks across projects within schedule and budget.
• Conduct site visits during design, construction, and as-built phases.
