Job summary

HDR Engineering is seeking a Transmission Line Project Engineer to join a national team of Power Delivery professionals. Opportunities exist in multiple locations including Portland, OR, with responsibilities spanning design, coordination, and client engagement.

The role requires a PE license, a bachelor’s in engineering, and 4+ years in transmission line engineering, with proficiency in PLS-CADD and related tools. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 4+ years of transmission line engineering experience in power sector.
• Experience with PLS-CADD and line design software.
• Proficiency with MS Office and related design software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual and detailed transmission line designs using PLS-CADD and foundation design software.
• Coordinate construction release packages for high voltage lines.
• Lead junior team members and perform quality control reviews.
• Identify learning opportunities for staff and conduct knowledge sharing.
• Engage in client meetings and lead design reviews with stakeholders.
• Develop project manhour estimates and schedules; manage multiple projects.
