HDR Engineering is seeking a Transmission Line Project Engineer to join a national team of Power Delivery professionals. Opportunities exist in multiple locations including Portland, OR, with responsibilities spanning design, coordination, and client engagement.

The role requires a PE license, a bachelor’s in engineering, and 4+ years in transmission line engineering, with proficiency in PLS-CADD and related tools. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
4+ years of transmission line engineering experience in power sector.
Experience with PLS-CADD and line design software.
Proficiency with MS Office and related design software.

Responsibilities

Prepare conceptual and detailed transmission line designs using PLS-CADD and foundation design software.
Coordinate construction release packages for high voltage lines.
Lead junior team members and perform quality control reviews.
Identify learning opportunities for staff and conduct knowledge sharing.
Engage in client meetings and lead design reviews with stakeholders.
Develop project manhour estimates and schedules; manage multiple projects.
