Job summary

HDR is seeking a Transmission Line Project Engineer to join a growing Power Delivery team. You will develop design deliverables for high voltage transmission lines and coordinate release packages using PLS-CADD and related tools.

You will mentor junior staff, perform QC reviews, and lead client design reviews while contributing to project estimates, schedules, and field visits across multiple sites including WA locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering and PE license required.
• 4+ years of transmission line engineering experience in power utility or renewables.
• Experience with PLS-CADD and related design/drawings for transmission line projects.
• Strong communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform design and deliverables for conceptual and detailed transmission lines.
• Coordinate construction release packages including plans, profiles, and bills of material.
• Mentor junior team members and perform quality control reviews.
• Attend client meetings and lead design reviews.
• Develop project manhours estimates and task schedules.
• Conduct site visits during design, construction, and as-built phases.
