Job summary

HDR is seeking a Transmission Line Project Engineer to join our Power Delivery team. Opportunities are available across multiple locations, including Spokane, WA.

You will design high voltage transmission lines, coordinate with stakeholders, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring schedules and budgets are met. The role requires a PE license, a bachelor's degree in engineering, and experience with PLS-CADD and related design software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• PE license required for professional practice.

Responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual and detailed transmission line designs using PLS-CADD and foundation design software.
• Coordinate construction release packages including plans, profiles, load trees, and material bills.
• Mentor and guide EITs/ Designers; perform QA reviews on projects.
• Support cost estimates, specifications, and client design reviews.
• Attend client stakeholder meetings and lead design reviews.
• Develop project manhour estimates and task schedules.
• Conduct site visits during design, construction, and as-built phases.
