Job summary

HDR is seeking a Transmission Line Project Engineer to join our growing Power Delivery team. You will lead design and analysis using PLS-CADD and related tools, coordinate with stakeholders, and mentor junior staff across multiple projects.

The role requires a Civil/Electrical Engineering degree and PE license, with 4+ years in transmission line engineering in electric utilities or renewables. Several preferred locations across WA/ID are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Experience in Power Market Sector and transmission line projects.
• Proficiency with design software and MS Office.
• Strong communication and collaboration across multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical designs for transmission lines using PLS-CADD and related tools.
• Coordinate construction release packages and bill of materials.
• Provide guidance to junior staff and perform quality control reviews.
• Engage with clients and lead design reviews.
• Assist with manhour estimates and scheduling.
