Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Staffing Coordinator to support nursing management in day-to-day staffing for patient care areas. You will manage automated scheduling, time and attendance, and payroll processes while maintaining strong internal communications and report generation.

The role emphasizes building relationships, validating schedules, and providing staffing data to leadership. Requires English proficiency, MS Office literacy, and scheduling software knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Identify staffing needs and confer with appropriate managers throughout the day.
• Enter all new hires into the scheduling system and update schedules.
• Compile daily staffing information and discuss with managers.
• Participate in daily Patient Flow bed meeting。”
• Make calls to fill staffing needs and communicate changes.
• Identify overtime and participate in reducing expenses.
• Coordinate payroll data entry and time sheets.
• Serve as a superuser for the scheduling system.
• Train new nurse managers and administrative staff.
• Ensure accuracy of schedules and provide daily staffing reports.
