Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Staffing Coordinator to support nursing management with daily staffing needs and scheduling administration. You will manage scheduling inputs, ensure accurate timekeeping, and coordinate payroll with the Payroll department.

Responsibilities include generating staffing reports, training nurse managers on the scheduling system, and maintaining effective communication with charge nurses to optimize patient flow and labor costs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Strong follow up skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office applications and the ability to learn new software programs rapidly.
• Knowledge of automated scheduling systems.
• Ability to read, write and speak clearly in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing management with day-to-day staffing coordination for patient care areas.
• Enter new hires into scheduling system and maintain daily/monthly schedules.
• Manage time and attendance records and payroll processes (PeopleSoft).
• Generate staffing reports and distribute to leadership.
• Provide training on automated scheduling to managers and staff.
• Communicate staffing changes to charge nurses and other stakeholders.
