Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an onsite Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Practitioner to support caregiver education, orientation, and ongoing learning across care areas. The role travels to multiple locations as needed to fulfill responsibilities.

The NPD Practitioner will serve as a learning facilitator, change agent, mentor, and leader, promoting evidence-based practice and interprofessional collaboration to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution; degree verification required.
• Current RN license in state of practice.
• BLS Certification for healthcare providers.
• Demonstrated experience in adult or staff development.
• Demonstrated nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Learning Facilitator: guide caregiver orientation and ongoing learning using adult learning principles.
• Change Agent: collaborate to identify learning needs and promote evidence-based practices.
• Mentor: coach preceptors and caregivers for professional growth and learning opportunities.
• Leader: promote interprofessional learning and advancement in nursing practice.
• Champion for Inquiry: foster new knowledge sharing and drive NPD practices.
• Advocate for NPD Specialty: highlight value and ensure integration of NPD principles.
