Job summary

Intermountain Health seeks an on-site Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Practitioner to support caregiver education and ongoing learning. The role includes guiding orientation, mentoring staff, and promoting evidence-based nursing practice across care teams.

The NPD Practitioner may travel between sites to fulfill responsibilities and will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to advance learning initiatives and patient care outcomes.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution (degree verification required).
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for healthcare providers.
Demonstrated experience in adult or staff development.
Demonstrated nursing experience.

Responsibilities

Learning Facilitator: advise caregivers, guide orientation, support ongoing learning, apply adult learning principles.
Change Agent: align learning with goals, ensure adoption of evidence-based practices.
Mentor: coach preceptors and caregivers for growth and job enrichment.
Leader: foster interprofessional learning and nursing advances within the care site.
