Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an onsite Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Practitioner to guide caregiver education, coordinate orientation, and oversee ongoing learning needs across care groups. Travel to various locations may be required.

Responsibilities include facilitating orientation, coaching caregivers and preceptors, leading interprofessional learning, and promoting evidence-based practice to improve patient care and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution (degree verification required).
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for healthcare providers.
• Demonstrated experience in adult or staff development.

Responsibilities

• Learning Facilitator: guides caregiver orientation, supports ongoing learning, and uses standardized tools.
• Change Agent: collaborates to address learning needs and promote evidence-based practices.
• Mentor: provides coaching to preceptors and caregivers for learning and growth.
• Leader: facilitates interprofessional learning and advancement in nursing practice.
• Champion for Inquiry: fosters knowledge sharing and evidence-based practice to improve patient care.
• Advocate for NPD Specialty: promotes value of NPD and supports professional development.
• Partner for Practice Transition: ensures smooth transitions and integration of new practices.
