Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an onsite Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Practitioner to support caregiver education and ongoing professional development. The role assesses learning needs, guides orientation, and coordinates education aligned with care groups and programs.

Travel to multiple locations may be required. The NPD Practitioner will collaborate across teams to promote evidence-based practices, support orientation, and drive learning opportunities for both new and existing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution (degree verification required).
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for healthcare providers.
• Demonstrated experience in adult or staff development.
• Demonstrated nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Learning Facilitator: guides orientation and ongoing learning using standardized tools and adult learning principles.
• Change Agent: collaborates to address learning needs and promote evidence-based practices.
• Mentor: provides coaching to preceptors and caregivers for professional development.
• Leader: facilitates interprofessional learning and advancement in nursing practices.
• Champion for Inquiry: fosters sharing of new knowledge to improve patient care.
• Advocate for NPD Specialty: promotes the value and integration of NPD principles.
• Partner for Practice Transition: supports seamless adoption of new practices and orientation.
