Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an onsite Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Practitioner who guides caregivers in orientation and ongoing learning using educational design and adult learning principles. The role may require travel to different locations to fulfill responsibilities.

The NPD Practitioner collaborates with teams to align learning with care goals, coaches preceptors, supports clinical coaches, and advances the NPD specialty within the organization to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution (degree verification required).
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for healthcare providers.
• Demonstrated experience in adult or staff development.

Responsibilities

• Learning Facilitator: guides orientation and ongoing learning using standardized tools and adult learning principles.
• Change Agent: collaborates to understand goals and learning needs; promotes adoption of evidence-based practices.
• Mentor: provides coaching to preceptors and caregivers for professional growth.
• Leader: facilitates interprofessional learning and advancements in nursing and healthcare.
• Champion for Inquiry: fosters creation of new knowledge and uses evidence to advance practice.
• Advocate for NPD Specialty: promotes value of NPD and integrates principles to improve outcomes.
• Partner for Practice Transition: supports smooth transitions and ongoing education for caregivers.
