Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an onsite Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Practitioner to lead caregiver education and ongoing learning across the care site. The role focuses on orientation, coaching, and the integration of evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes.

The NPD Practitioner will facilitate interprofessional learning, mentor preceptors, and champion the NPD specialty within the organization while supporting transitions for new practices and initiatives.

Qualifications

BSN from an accredited program is required.
Current RN license in the practicing state.
BLS certification for healthcare providers.
Experience in adult or staff development is required.
Demonstrated nursing experience.

Responsibilities

Learning Facilitator: guide caregiver orientation, assess needs, apply adult learning principles.
Change Agent: identify learning needs, promote evidence-based practices.
Mentor: coach preceptors and caregivers on learning and growth.
Leader: coordinate interprofessional learning and nursing advancements.
Champion for Inquiry: foster knowledge sharing and evidence-based practice.
Advocate for NPD Specialty: promote value of NPD and professional development.
Partner for Practice Transition: support smooth adoption of new practices.
