Job summary
Intermountain Health is seeking an onsite Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Practitioner to lead caregiver education and orientation, applying adult learning principles and standardized tools. The role includes mentoring preceptors, coordinating learning plans, and promoting evidence-based practice across care areas.
The NPD Practitioner will champion the specialty within the organization, collaborate with stakeholders, and drive ongoing educational initiatives aligned with clinical goals
Qualifications
- BSN from an accredited institution; RN license in state of practice; BLS certification.
- Experience in adult or staff development.
- Nursing experience demonstrated.
Responsibilities
- Learning Facilitator: guide orientation and ongoing learning using standardized tools.
- Change Agent: identify learning needs and promote evidence-based practices.
- Mentor: provide coaching to preceptors and caregivers for growth.
- Leader: advance interprofessional learning and nursing practice within the care site.
- Advocate for NPD specialty and its value in patient outcomes.
- Partner for Practice Transition: coordinate smooth transitions and education.
