Job summary
Intermountain Health is seeking an onsite Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Practitioner to guide caregiver orientation, learning needs, and clinical coaching across care sites. The role requires collaboration and leadership to promote self-reliance and teamwork, using standardized tools and adult learning principles.
The NPD Practitioner will drive interprofessional learning, support transitions, and champion inquiry to advance nursing practice and patient outcomes within the PDPE service
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- BLS Certification for healthcare providers.
- Demonstrated experience in adult or staff development.
- Demonstrated nursing experience.
Responsibilities
- Learning Facilitator: Guides caregiver orientation and ongoing learning using standardized tools.
- Change Agent: Aligns learning with goals and promotes evidence-based practices.
- Mentor: Provides coaching to preceptors and caregivers.
- Leader: Facilitates interprofessional learning and advancement in nursing practice.
- Champion for Inquiry: Encourages creation and sharing of new knowledge for patient care.
- Advocate for NPD Specialty: Promotes value of NPD in the organization.
- Partner for Practice Transition: Supports smooth transitions and onboarding of practices.
